Meet Our Education Coordinator

Welcome Learners of All Ages!

I'm very excited to be a part of this group of professionals! Scientists here investigate the polar and alpine regions of the world from chemical, physical, and geological perspectives; making sense of this information relative to the long history of the Earth. They collaborate with partners around the world and use state-of-the-art equipment and methods, some of which were designed here, specifically for these purposes!

I am happy to be part of the support staff who help to fulfill the educational component of the Center's Mission Statement... to "offer enhanced educational opportunities and provide outreach activities", to build upon the important and truly interdisciplinary work of the scientists and their research associates.

We strive to meet the needs of the public through providing outreach events, classroom visits, online information, climate change courses, and through tours of the Center. Nathan Patrick, a Master's student in the Department of Geography, coordinates the tours and other educational outreach for BPRC.
